Event Details

The Edinburgh Beltane Beacon for Public Engagement is hosting a workshop and networking session for researchers and academics working in Life Sciences at out partner universities and research institutes. 

Join as at the spectacular new John Hope Gateway at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh to:

  • find out how the Edinburgh Beltane can help you create social impact with your research;
  • learn how others have combined public engagement activities with a successful research career;
  • meet others who are enthusiastic about public engagement and
  • discover opportunities to work with others. 

The programme for the morning will include

  • An update on the Edinburgh Beltane
  • What is Public Engagement?
  • A networking session
  • Why do Public Engagement? - interviews with successful researchers who engage the public
  • How can we work together? -an interactive discussion session
  • Lunch
